Hey ammar, thomas & Matt!

If you’re on this page that means you have gotten through my novel of an email, so thank you in advance for taking time out of your busy day to check out my app design!

Strap on your invisible seat belts and climb aboard the crazy ride that is my thought process.

Stop 1: I NEEEED IT

Members of the Yes fam are constantly looking for ways to get out of their comfort zones, whether it be with an adventurous activity, social event, and/or ways to better themselves. They also want to seek discomfort with others in the fam. Between your Youtube comment section and the Facebook group, I have seen multiple people suggest that there should be an app to connect your audience.

Stop 2: The Brain Blast

My goal was to create an app that your users can utilize daily to achieve their goals and create connections with others. They can do so by building their own Yes list. This Yes list is everything they want to accomplish on their bucket list. From there, fam members can either choose to create an event based off of one of their list items or find events in their area that are similar to items on their yes list. Each event will have its own event page where users can find a more detailed description about it and can RSVP to it.

Stop 3: Wireframing

These are some of my wireframes even though they kind of look like a 5 year old’s art project.

I wanted to create an interface that is easy to use and understand. When you are a first time user, you will create a login which will then lead you into creating your own Yes list. When you add a Yes item, you will then categorize it into one of the five categories. These categories along with using key words will then be used in the backend of the app to help you find events similar to the items on your individual Yes list.

On the Yes list page, you have the option to view both your to-do and completed items. On your to-do page, you can click to check off items you’ve already completed, add other yes items, or search for similar events to your yes. On your completed page, you can see all of your achievements that you’ve crossed off. I mean who doesn’t love to see a full page of checkmarks.

The events page has a listing of all the events in the user’s local area and will be filtered to show events that directly correlate with user’s Yes items at the top of the screen. As you scroll, events with similar categories on their list will appear next. Then finally towards the bottom, you will see all the events in your area. The user, of course, would be able to filter all of this either by category, date, etc. When the user clicks on the event, they will find a more detailed description about said event. They will see the number of people who said “yes” and the number of people who said “maybe.” This user then has the option to either RSVP with a “Yes” or “Maybe.” They can also close out of that event if they decide not to attend.

Additionally, the user has the ability to create their own event by clicking on the plus sign at the top of the screen. When the user creates their own event, they have the ability to add details such as a title, description, date, time and a cap number of people. They will also be able to upload an image which will then be used on the event listing page.

Finally, the hamburger menu will open up to allow the user to navigate to their Yes List, their upcoming events, to find events, and to their settings.

Stop 4: Paint Some Happy Little Trees

My next step was to bring these wireframes to life. I studied your website (looks great by the way!) and designed the app to match your brand. I utilized the same fonts and colors to create the bold look that guys achieved on your site and in your videos.

As you can see not all of my wireframes have been mocked up yet. This is obviously still a work in progress and not all of the wrinkles are ironed out. I am 100% open to any and all changes. The best work comes from multiple minds. I would love to get your feedback and work with you all on this. What better way to connect your fam than by working on your very own app!

If this wasn’t convincing enough, click here to see why I would work well on your team!
